Culture and Mental Health Research Lab
Racial/ethnic minority and immigrant populations often experience difficulties accessing mental health care that is culturally sensitive and relevant to their needs and concerns. Our research targets structural, interpersonal, and treatment factors to improve the quality of care for diverse populations.
Clinical Practice
I am a licensed psychologist in the State of New York and maintain a small private practice in Soho. I specialize in the delivery of empirically-supported treatments, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based approaches that are tailored to individuals' cultures, social identities, and personal value systems.
Workshops & Consultation
I regularly provide training, workshops and consultation to schools, universities, and organizations seeking to identify and address barriers to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. My approach to training is informed by critical consciousness frameworks and contemplative approaches to softening resistance, promoting empathy, perspective-taking, and racial healing.
